151 - Am I...

149 - Baseball Music

Same kid, different uniform. We managed to get a one week break from High School ball into summer Leauge ball, and that was only because we were rained out last week! I am not complaining though.

I LOVE baseball.

I love everything about it.

I love watching the boys on the bench, the coaches running strategy, baserunners stealing, and catchers picking them off.

I love the sound of a fast-ball hitting the glove, the smell of the concession stand, the crack of a well hit ball, and look on a guys face as he make the diving catch.

I love the parents in the stands, the bonding of watching our boys do battle together, starting a conversation, just to pick it up seamlessly at the next game, the shared relief of a slump being broken, and the excitement of beating "that" team.

I love watching a simple game of catch between a father and son, or a coach and player. I don't know what kind of magic happens at that moment, but if you have ever watched this you know what I am talking about. It usually starts with gentle tossing back and forth with ever increasing speed and distance. Before you know it they are all out hurling, seeing who can throw harder, catch better. And then, after skill and egos have been tested, they settle into a rhythm, a type of dance with the ball and glove keeping time. They may spend the next several moments in silence, but sometimes, if the magic is right, a heart conversation adds words to the song.

Big beautiful moon on a cool baseball evening.

147 - So I Lied

NOW I am caught up LOL! After looking at the other 365 blogs, I am supposed to be on day 147, so here it is. I took this today on Main Street at the gazebo. I absolutely LOVE this area, I'm telling you, one could spend an entire day and take 1000's of photos and still never get tired of it. I am also working on wider angle stuff. I tend to over do the close up range (not that you would notice if you have been following for awhile, LOL)

146 - Old Town

I had to go to the city hall today for work...yuck, BUT I decided to make lemonade and took the opportunity to get some shots of "Main Street" while I was down there. I ended up totally enjoying the morning and have vowed to take Buffy back later. This is a place where I could literally spend HOURS with a camera. This is one of the many outdoor patios where you can get a wonderful meal.

AND with this shot...I am OFFICIALLY caught up from my time off....can I get a WOOT WOOT!

145 - Some Teachers

Deserve to be paid in gold bricks. #3's teacher this year has just been wonderful. She was compassionate but firm, was understanding but expected the kids to work to their full potential, and everything my guy needed to help him transition to his new school. I have known she was great all year, but today the little bug brought this home.
It is filled with wonderful stories and illustrations that my child created.

All written from his perspective

Apparently, he was a perfect baby, I'm not sure I remember it that way.
Illustrations of what he finds important...

And then the kicker
the one that made me tear up
who he admires

Of course, because I am only the woman that birthed him, fed him, and takes the stuff he forgets to school for him. It did make me feel better that he dedicated the book to me...AND that he obviously thinks his dad needs new pants that fit.

This, THIS is something I will keep FOR.EV.ER!!!

144 - Hello Old Friend

This week I am doing all my pics with the camera that started it all. My Sony Cyber-Shot P&S. I hadn't had her out in awhile, and have really enjoyed getting to know her again. And with shots like this...can you blame me?

143 - You Never Know What Is Lurking...

In shopping bags. This looks like a typical shopping bag, just emptied of it's contents...

But really, the terrifying Smokey Joe is lurking inside, ready to sneak attack you.

But really that is a lot of hard work, so he ends up taking a nap.

142 - Sunday Football

Not a great pic, but it just sums up our typical Sunday afternoons.

141 - Brothers

I know the b&w with one color left is soooo "yesterday" but I just couldn't help myself the shirt and shorts were too perfect for this processing. And who am I to judge, I'm so out of style that even the dr's office magazines are more up-to-date than I am!

140 - Carwash

One of our friends came over to spend time in the man-cave work on his car with Mr. Incredible and brought his two boys. I had forgotten how much energy little boys can have! #1 put that energy to good use and let them help wash his car. Everybody give it up for #1. He got the "Bomb-Diggity" award of the day.

139 - JUMP!

More fridged pool fun!

138 - Zeus

He's big.
He's still a puppy.
He's super sweet.
He's the neighbor's dog.
I might need to switch him out for Lucy-Fur.
Think they would notice?

137 - Boredom Factor

I may or may not have been a bit on the bored side while waiting for one of the boys today. I could have possibly had my handy dandy point and shoot with me. It is not inconceivable that I started taking random pics. This might be a result of that.

136 - A Day In The Life...

Of Lucy-Fur.

Wake-up...
"No, I don't wanna! It's so comfy and warm and lovely here."

Help with the chores
(do NOT call PITA on me, she got out before I closed the door!)

Run some errands....
"Oh wait, this looks an awful lot like the vet. NOOOOOO!"

That wore me out, nap time

A little night time WWE with Shadow, and then bed
Whew! Another busy day!

135 - New Series, New Logo

New series at church, new logo for me to design. I am not sure I like this part of my job. I LOVE creating and learning how to use photoshop better, but the pressure makes me feel all woozy.

134 - So Cute

We have some of the cutest "babies" at our church. Sadly, most of them are "graduating" up to preschool next month leaving the nursery very empty. Thankfully, I have several of them in my small group, so I see them all the time anyway.

Yes, she IS this adorable in real life also!

What big kids, share so nice.

LOOK at those cheeks.......how can you NOT want to smooch 'em?!?

133 - Proof

Ignore the horribly unfocused picture, but it is proof that these two ARE able to be in the same area at the same time without:

a) fighting

b) pushing
c) wrestling
d) making crude body noises
e) throwing things at each other
AND
f) all of the above!

133 - GROSS!

A few days ago we found a dead turkey at the office. I took a piture like any good mom of boys would do because gross is cool. They then begged me to put it here. They will not listen to reason. I am helpless to their ways. SOOOOO, I was going to use a trick I learned over at Pioneer Woman that I NEVER thought I would have to try to use, but I could not get it to work. Hence (great word by the way!) the delay on getting it up. So today, without further delay, I present to you the "coolest pictures I have ever taken" (according to  1,2,&3)DO NOT continue on if you do not want to see the disgusting dead turkey pictures. I repeat.......

Gross pics coming up.

Don't want to see gross dead turkey pictures?

DON'T

LOOK

ANY

FURTHER.

Got it? Good. Don't say I didn't warn you!

132 - Happy Birthday Mom!

I already got all mushy gushy on Mother's Day about her, so today I just bring you another flower pic, 'cause she likes them.

131 - Envy

I NEED this plant.
It is the neighbor's.
Maybe she won't notice it is at my mailbox if I take it.
Maybe I should seek counceling about this.

130 - After The Rain

I may be overdoing it with the flower pics, but they are just so awesome right now with the spring rain we have been getting this week. I am especially proud of these as I have been working on getting good, workable shots SOOC. These have VERY little retouching, just a little fine tuning on the lighting.

129 - Revisiting

For those of you who have been following along, you have seen and heard about the boy's fort they made. Not to beat the dead horse, but I wanted to show you a picture of it now, in it's full awsomeness.

128 - The Break-Up

As hard as this might be for some to read, I must post my break-up letter so that my dear knows I am serious this time. I would have tissue ready as this is a tear-jerker.

Dear Diet Coke,

I am sorry, but I think we can no longer see each other. I would like to say it isn’t you, but really, it kind of is. You’re just not good for me. I know we have had a wonderful relationship going back many decades, I know that I have tried to break up with you before, but this time, THIS TIME, I mean it…….really. I would love to say, “let’s be friends” but I just don’t think I have the strength for that. I will miss you. Your fizzy sweetness, your cool touch, your zero calorie yumminess, but I can’t live with the hurt you bring me. Please try to believe me that this is harder for me than it is for you, let’s face it, you have so many others that love you and I am stuck drinking non-caffeinated, non-carbonated, non-flavor water. Our relationship was fun while it lasted, but we both knew it wouldn’t last. Water might be “no fun” but it is concerned with helping me and making me feel better. You, you could care less if I am in pain, crabby, and addicted. Goodbye Diet Coke, we are no longer a couple.

Not Yours Truly,

Brenda

127 - Anyone want to guess

What this is growing on the leaves of the neighbor's tree? 100 pretend $s to whoever can come up with the answer.

126 - Rain

We have been having spring storms here at night which has lead to a very sleepy girl during the day. (something to do with a 65lb lab shaking the whole bed and an 8lb rat trying to burrow under the pillows.) BUT it has lead to some beautiful flowers.

125 - Finally!

Remember when I took all those pics of a bumble bee only to find out there.was.no.card.in.the.camera!?! Well I finally caught some on the lilac bush in my front yard!

124 - Wonderful

Oh, if I could only bottle up the smell these produce and attach it to this pic! Remember Smelly Tree? These smell as good as that smelled bad.

123 - Between the Houses

Between the neighbor's house and ours is a tether ball and a basket ball hoop. There are also about 932 bikes, skateboards, helmets, towels, socks, cars, swimsuits, basketballs, and various other junk. Yes, it drives us crazy. No, we wouldn't have it any other way!

122 - Co-Aunt

Today is my co-aunt's birthday. Since my brother and his wife started dating when they were in 10th and 11th grade, her family is really just an extension of ours, we even do holidays and birthdays as one family. So my SIL's sister is very much like my own. I cannot think of anyone I would rather share the title "Aunt" with. She is super-cool, fun, beautiful and down to earth. Sadly, I don't have any pics of her (anyone noticing a theme with the women in my family?) but Ido have one of her precious little girl , Klara, and her boyfriend.

Yes, that would be Lynch 1, LOL!
Happy Birthday Aunt Cristy. I Love Ya Girlfriend!

121 - Reasons 1, 2, & 3 I celebrated today

By the way I TOTALLY stole this idea from my friend Laura @ Illaurastrations. Check her out here!

Here they are, Lynch 1, Lynch 2, and Lynch 3. Someone asked me the other day if I purposely didn't use the boys names for security reasons. Simply put, no, I really do call them Lynch 1, Lynch 2, and Lynch 3. When I don't call them that, I call them Buddy, Brother, and Bug. When they were little I called them Baby Bear, Tiny Tornado, and Sweetness. When I want to embarrass them I call them snookems, sweety pie, and love bug....across the ball field, or the street, or down the hall at school. Why, because that's the price they pay for driving me crazy. Do I ever use their names? Sometimes, but it usually means they are on code orange, quickly hitting red and I am pulling out the mean mom voice.

So without further ado, may I present...

Lynch 1 aka Buddy aka Baby Bear aka Conner

Lynch 2 aka Brother aka Tiny Tornado aka James

Lynch 3 aka Bug aka Sweetness aka Clayton

Happy Mother's Day dear Friends. I hope it was as wonderful as you are.
