A parade just isn't a parade if there isn't a firetruck
And how cool is this dad to let them put the school mascot on his truck?
I do love a good parade and this one was right up there. All the kiddos in the school walked with their grade level and all the grade levels wore the same color shirt. It started with the 5th graders as they were saying goodbye and moving to middle school. They were followed by K-4th grade. Mixed in were staff members who had received awards such as educator of the year. there was also a K teacher who was retiring and was escorted by 8 seniors who were in her class...WOW! It was a very cool event and I am so glad the rain held off until the very end.
(As you can tell, I am STILL having camera problems as my trusty P&S ran out of battery! I took the saying "the best camera is the one you have with you" and siezed the opportunity to use my phone...not great pics, but better than none!)
That's excellent that they got to have a parade! Something to look forward too!
ReplyDeleteWow, a parade to celebrate the end of the school yr, how cool! And of course the fire truck is hella cool...cant have a good parade without a fire engine! So does this mean all 3 kids are now home for the summer?
ReplyDeleteYep - today was #1's last day of finals.
ReplyDeleteThe summer revolving door has already begun. All three have someone spending the night, #1 has two for a grand total of 7 boys sprawled through out my house right now :) This is on top of the three friends that were here and left, the two that live next door, AND Jim and I had friends over for dinner with their two little ones.
Yes, I would say summer is officially here, LOL
What a fun tradition!
ReplyDeleteA parade!? Fun!!!
